Jailer 2 has completed three weeks in theatres, and the numbers keep climbing. The Rajinikanth film has collected ₹816 Cr gross worldwide in 21 days, extending its record as Kollywood’s biggest grosser ever.
Jailer 2 3 Weeks Box Office (Gross)
- Tamil Nadu: ₹213 Cr
- Telugu States: ₹95 Cr
- Karnataka: ₹93.5 Cr
- Kerala: ₹79 Cr
- Rest of India: ₹58.5 Cr

Steady in the Third Week
The film added around ₹13 Cr worldwide in the last three days, taking it from ₹803 Cr at the end of Day 18 to ₹816 Cr at the end of Week 3. Collections have slowed down in the weekdays, as expected for a film in its third week, but it continues to hold steady.
Tamil Nadu Chasing the All-Time Record
Tamil Nadu has crossed ₹213 Cr gross. Jailer 2 is now just about ₹17 Cr away from Ponniyin Selvan 1’s all-time record of around ₹230 Cr in the state.
Telugu States and Karnataka Near ₹100 Cr
Jailer 2 is also close to making history in two more markets. No Tamil film has ever grossed ₹100 Cr in the Telugu states or in Karnataka.
- Telugu States: ₹95 Cr, about ₹5 Cr to go
- Karnataka: ₹93.5 Cr, about ₹6.5 Cr to go
Overseas Strong at ₹277 Cr
Overseas has brought in ₹277 Cr($29.2M) gross, more than a third of the worldwide total.
The Diwali Test
The fourth week brings a big test. Ramayana releases today, and Suriya’s Scene arrives tomorrow, so Jailer 2 will lose a good number of screens.
But with the Diwali holidays this weekend, the film still has one more big window. How well it holds against the new releases will decide whether it can reach ₹850 Cr worldwide, and cross ₹100 Cr in the Telugu states and Karnataka.
At 75, Rajinikanth has already delivered the biggest run in Tamil cinema history, and Jailer 2 is still adding to it.
